Prophet Adam

Adam: the first prophet

Long before anyone else, Allah made a very special being from clay and breathed life into him. His name was Adam, and he was the very first human being — and the first prophet! Allah taught Adam the names of everything around him, and then asked the angels to bow down to Adam out of respect. All the angels obeyed right away — except one being named Iblis, who refused out of pride. Allah gave Adam a wife, Hawwa (Eve), and let them live happily in Paradise, telling them to enjoy everything there except the fruit of one tree. Shaytan (Iblis) whispered to them until they forgot and ate from that tree by mistake. Adam and Hawwa felt so sorry that they turned to Allah right away and asked for forgiveness — and Allah, who loves to forgive, accepted their repentance.

Al-Baqarah · 2:37

فَتَلَقَّىٰ آدَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Fa-talaqqa Adamu mir-rabbihi kalimatin fa-taba 'alayh; innahu huwa t-tawwabu r-raheem

"Then Adam received words [of guidance] from his Lord, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful."

Say it: Read it in four gentle steps: Fa-talaqqa Adamu (Adam received) — mir-rabbihi (from his Lord) — kalimatin (words) — fa-taba 'alayh (so He accepted his repentance). Let your child echo each step.
